DARTS ALBERTA SALUTES ALL CALGARY YOUTH CLUB COACHES!
A big "THANKS COACH" to Ryan Storch, Lisa Storch, Tanya Garnett and Linda Ledingham—coaches of the Calgary Youth Dart Club!!
Although we haven’t included the names of former coaches for fear of missing someone, Darts Alberta wishes to say THANKS to each and every former youth coach in the Calgary area for all of your hard work and dedication to the youth program over the past 30 years!
RYAN STORCH |
Our first coach to be recognized is Ryan Storch. Ryan has been the Head Coach of the Calgary Youth Dart Club for the last three seasons and assisted on and off for 7 years before that. Ryan first began playing darts 26 years ago. The youth program is near and dear to Ryan as he grew up playing in the program in the early 1990s. Ryan Storch is a trained Community Sport Dart Coach and working toward his certification as a Competition–Introduction Dart Coach. Ryan and his coaching team have been instrumental in tripling the club’s membership over the last few seasons. The league started their first-ever Tykes Program last year.

Our next coach is Lisa Storch! Lisa has been playing darts for the last 24 years and actively coaching in the club for the last three seasons. Prior to that she’s helped with the club on and off for the past 11 years. Lisa is currently running their club’s Tyke Program.

TANYA GARNETT

Tanya Garnett began coaching with the Calgary Youth Club last year and has been extremely innovative with their new Tykes Program. Tanya has been playing darts herself for the past 21 years and began pursuing her Community Sport Dart Coach accreditation this past spring.

Although Linda Ledingham is only starting her first season as a coach for the Calgary Youth Dart Club, she is no stranger to the sport. Darts Alberta is confident Linda will be a successful coach sharing her over 23 years of knowledge and experience as a competitor at the National and International level. Linda will be pursuing her coaching accreditation this fall.

The Calgary Youth Dart Club currently meets on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm at the Penbrooke Meadows Community League (5100 Penbrooke Drive SE, Calgary). The season runs from mid-September to May. All youth from 9 to 18 are welcome to join the regular program. A Tykes Program is offered for those aged 6 to 9.
